Just a change of place, not the food!!

Qubitos reopens it’s doors with a bang!! With pretty nice interiors and a great looking bar, it was amazing to be at this place, in the same building just where West Side Story was on the 3rd floor!!
I decided to order:

1. Virgin mojito: That’s my saviour drink everywhere to begin my meal. I feel all the more refreshing, also this one had a perfect mint flavour!!

2. Brownie shake: A pretty decent option here if looking for something in shakes. It was thick and had pieces of brownie which gave it a good taste.

3. Honey chicken: With the perfect honey flavour to the soft chicken pieces, this chicken speciality becomes a must have for me!! Also the sauted veggies and the sour sauce added to the chicken gave it a perfect flavour!!

4. Chicken murgh makhani puchkas: The best chicken golgappas I have had!! The good thing was it didn’t become soggy even after the gravy being present in the golgappas when served!! Do have this one and you wouldn’t stop before you have 2-3 of them!!

5. Chicken samosa: Perfectly fried with keema chicken as filling helped me develop a liking for samosa’s. 

For main course, we had Dal makhani, Paneer lababdaar, kadhai chicken and chicken tikka masala. All dishes had the perfect flavours and made my main course a delight to have!!

A miraculous buffet spread!!

Buffet restaurants have become the preferred choice of people today and what better than having such a meal. It even becomes better when the buffet spread is such and more than what had at other restaurants. 

Serving over more than 54 dishes and with the Indo-Chinese fest going on till 21st march, this place stands tall against its competitors.

And what better than having to reach the place early for dinner time and enjoy unlimited mojito and soft drinks.

Coming over to the food that I tried:

I started my meal with the live grills that had chicken tikka, prawns and paneer tikka. And about the snacks that came on my table, mutton seekh, tandoori chicken, churrasco pineapple, kashmiri chicken, lemon fish and not to forget the salsa potatoes. The list goes on and on, but about the salsa potatoes, found them way better than the ones served at any other restaurant. 

Also since I have visited them at the time of Indo-Chinese fest other dishes include  chilly chicken biryani, paneer kulcha, curd cake, mutton and crunchy ice cream.

For main course, I tried noodles and being the festival time, I decided to make my plate accordingly having noodles, dal makhani, chicken biryani in beijing style and butter chicken!!

For desserts I had black currant pastry and brownie with ice cream!! Fell in love with the brownie, just so soft and melt in mouth, wished to have more but stopped seeing I had eaten something equal to what I would have had in 2 days!!

Also considering the staff dance performance and a live singer and a fun place this makes, The Barbeque Company comes at the top of my list if looking for a buffet!!

The best at Corbett!!

A skimpy lane which leads to a place so peaceful and calm!! A property owned by the Rajnigandha group, just next to the SBI branch, Dhikuli and almost 8 kms from Ramnagar, is spread over 9 acres and has an amazing infrastructure be it Spa, Gymnasium, the Table tennis room or the lawns and the rooms they have.

The restaurant is just amazing and about the chefs and the junior staff, I have a lot to say, infact any praise of any staff would seem less seeing how they greeted us daily or how they served. Special mention to Chef Mukesh who at anytime of the day would prepare anything we needed and the manager Kirpal made sure we had no problems with the service and the hospitality.

Well you guys totally justify the award for the #10 resort of India and the best at corbett. What a luxury resort this is and I have been totally overwhelmed to be able to stay at this place. From the GM Mr Sanjay Kasal to the chefs to the lower staff, they always welcomed us with a smile. 

I would not forget to mention the food I had here, the best you would get at any resort!!

Pahado vali chicken biryani:

They never refused us for anything, be it ordering something at our room or asking for something special at their restaurant. The food quality is excellent, everything is just so fresh and well cooked.

I would love to come again seeing the amazing hospitality you have or the amazing services you provide to your guests.

Amazing outdoor seating and ambience!!!!

What else can be expected from a place which every foodie dreams going at!!

Yes, Zerruco at Ashoka hotel, Chanakyapuri made me feel exactly the same way, I am sure it wouldn’t ever disappoint anyone. A narrow lane entrance that would lead to a place that interesting and amazing, with amazing outdoor seating and a cosy indoor sitting to give you exactly the experience you want!! I was highly impressed by the ambience of the place and decided to have a fun filled evening with my friends at Zerruco!! With the bar and live pizza section outside, we decided to have our meal there!!

Coming to the drinks and food:

1. 3 LCS: A mocktail that has Litchi and strawberry, was pretty refreshing and nicely done.

2. The passion of zerruco: Their signature vodka based cocktail, made with pineapple, cardamom and lime. Though my friend ordered and tried this cocktail, he said it was pretty nicely prepared and the fusion of vodka with pineapple worked well for him!!

3. Cottage cheese shawarma: Be it veg or non-veg shawarma’s, I have a seperate corner for them. I had ordered this dish with pretty high expectations and yes, I wasn’t disappointed. For me, it was 4.5/5.

4. Chicken shish touk: Soft chicken pieces served along with Tahini and Garlic dip!! I couldn’t stop myself from having 3-4 pieces and would have definitely had more but had to stop keeping in mind the pending order.

5. Veg Ortolana Pizza: A thin crust pizza with the apt cheese pull and toppings of mushrooms and capsicum. All vegetarian lovers should order this!!

6. Dajaj Fakara: Chicken prepared in a rich yellow gravy and served along with steamed rice, the chicken gravy was so nicely done.

7. Tiramisu: Served in a cute little glass and with an amazing presentation, the taste was equally good!!!

Loved the ambience and interiors of the place, just the service needs to be taken care of!!

Loud music and mouth-watering food!!

Alright, so you would find very less cafe’s at GTB serving alcohol and with this loud music. 736AD does both, playing some good DJ numbers and serving alcohol, this should be anybody’s first choice if they feel the need to drink and have some lipsmacking food in and around GTB. 

This cafe located on 2nd floor right above Flames and next to Phonebooth cafe, has a rock look given to it, with the bar at the centre. The lighting of the place gives the feel this place wanted to give, a bar feel. 

I was lucky enough to have parked my car right in front of the cafe, otherwise this might be an issue here.

Coming to the mocktails and shakes:

1. Virgin mojito: It was very refreshing, perhaps the start to a great dinner scene!!

2. Kitkat shake: Perhaps a must have here at 736AD, I feel this shake shouldn’t be missed for the taste and thickness it had!!

Coming to the food:

1. Chicken dragon roll: I have had such chicken rolls after a long time. I found them much better than the butter chicken spring rolls I have had at other restaurants, these had chicken seekh inside them which had the filling of minced chicken, making it an amazing dish.

2. Veggie mansion pizza:

Why wouldn’t I like to have a veg pizza if it’s that good!! Yes, it didn’t have that cheese pull but then it was a thin crust pizza having the apt cheese and toppings of mushrooms, capsicum, onions and tomato.

3. Chilli prawns:

I have come across very few places who serve prawns at GTB. So after seeing the menu, I decided to order chilli prawns and it didn’t disappoint me. These might not be the best prawns one would have, but it definitely won’t disappoint you!!!

Timely delivery, food served hot!!

A delivery/take away outlet that has been started by the Hudson cafe at GTB nagar near to GTB nagar metro station, Gate no 4 and serves Chinese cuisine.

Delivery/Take away outlets these days have become masters in packaging and ensuring your delivery is done timely, so does this outlet. i was promised a delivery time of 1 hour and the delivery was done well within 50 minutes, considering weekends are quite busy for them. Also the packaging was done well and the food was packed in microwave proof bowls.
Coming to the food:

1. Chilly chicken dry: Can you expect a place specialising in chinese cuisine and not serving chilli chicken which has a good taste? It had the perfect spices and the perfect taste.

2. Lemon fish: A chinese mains dish that had numerous soft fish pieces in it and went well with the gravy it had. I had also ordered Chilly garlic noodles that I thought would go well with the Lemon fish.

3. Chilly garlic noodles: Spicy noodles that went well with the less spicy fish gravy, hence the combination worked well. The noodles were so amazing that I left some to have it the next day.

4. Crispy corns: Yes the corns got bit soggy due to the delivery but it was delivered hot. The crispy corns were same as the ones I have had at Barbecue nation, you can’t just stop having it.

Also it had chopsticks along with the food to give you the feel of the Chinese cuisine that you need!!

Slow service but worth the wait!!

GTB nagar has been coming up with some places that make your experience a memorable one and worth cherishing. One such cafe is Selfie lounge & bar, located on the 1st and 2nd floor, next to Phonebooth cafe and Laxmi dairy. We got a sitting on the 2nd floor. The interiors are pretty nicely done and this place offers a comfortable sitting.

We began with the shakes and mocktails:

1. Virgin Mojito: That has become a must order mocktail for me at every cafe, even here it was pretty refreshing and had the perfect mint flavour.

2. Oreo shake: It was nicely done and wasn’t that diluted as well. Wherever I see oreo shakes, I dont prefer any other shakes. U should try this shake here, although it was nothing different than many other cafe’s you have, but the tasted good.

Coming to the food:

1. Tandoori chicken : Soft chicken pieces perfectly cooked on a tandoor that were served with mint sauce and salad.

Being in a hurry we decided to order main course:

1. Selfie special dal bukhara: Black lentils that were soaked overnight and cooked and had a perfectly creamy gravy.

2. Paneer lababdaar: Paneer prepared in a rich red gravy and had the pefect onion capsicum masala.

3. Butter chicken: For me this was one of the best butter chicken gravy I have had at GTB nagar. Yes, the pieces were little undercooked but the gravy tasted amazing.

4. Assorted breads

The service needs to be improved as it took time for the order to be served but butter chicken gravy made me forget this service gliche.

Nice interiors, equally good food!!

With more and more places coming up at GTB almost every third day, it becomes almost impossible to decide which place to go first and fortunately I made the right choice this time. This cafe is bang opposite NDPL office, so wont be that difficult to locate, although parking might be an issue, that always has been an issue here. I was fortunate enough to have found one for myself and entered this cafe. It’s not a pretty huge cafe, has nice interiors and sitting of around 40 people. As the name says, it has a Washington painting and then some inspirational quotes.

Trying the shakes, I had:

Nutella shake: Perhaps the best shake for me here, the first shake which I have liked more than my favourite Oreo shake at any place. It had the apt amount of ice cream and nutella to it. Highly recommended!!

Coming to the food:

Washington special pizza: Yes, it had to be special. A thin crust pizza that had vegetables loaded on it, including mushrooms, olives and capsicum. Even though I am a non-vegetarian, yes if someone would offer me this pizza, I am happy being a vegetarian.

Washington special chicken tikka:

I had decided to actually try out the specialities at Washington cafe and my next on the list was chicken tikka. These were soft chicken pieces that were served on a cart and were actually very well presented. I loved the presentation here at Washington Cafe.Cafe’s at GTB are actually now focussing on the presentation aspect as well and that would prove to be a boost for these cafe’s in the long run.

Butter chicken pasta: Ohhhh, the first thing that I decided to have here. Pasta in perfect butter chicken gravy, a dream dish for non-vegetarians.
Coming to the main course, we had Dal makhani, Paneer lababdaar and Butter chicken along with breads.

The main course was equally good. Dal makhani was perfectly done, Paneer and Butter chicken had the perfect rich gravy required.

Yes, the only thing that needs to be improved is the service. Looking forward for more such visits.

An amazing place,not to be missed!!

Andrea’s eatery,a new outlet that has come up in December-2016 at Select city walk, Saket to satisfy your taste buds and make your experience a memorable one.And thats what you call a replacement of Amici cafe!!

Andrea’s eatery-an outlet that replaces Amici cafe, both belonging to the same director Andrea have opened up an outlet at the first floor of Select city walk,Saket.

They have a sitting of about 70-80 people with about 20 tables. The interiors are pretty nice and one can have a view of the kitchen as well.

Coming to the food and shakes:

1. Oreo shake: This was very simply presented in a bottle with crushed oreo’s inside and the shake made perfectly. It wasn’t that diluted either, yes I could say I have a special attraction towards oreo shakes but this one didn’t disappoint either.

2. Fruit punch: This was one of the best fruit punch ever had. This was made of fresh fruits and yes, the taste of this mocktail showed it as well. Nothing fancy done with the presentation,yet it tasted so amazing.

3. Fish and chips: Such soft fish pieces that were served with tartar sauce. The fish fillets were actually pretty soft due to them being of excellent quality and deep frozen. It had 5-6 fish pieces that are actually sufficient enough for two people.

4. Roasted Paneer tikka pizza: At Amici, the pizza used to be prepared in a charcoal oven , now the change has come for the good, the recipe hasn’t changed, just electrical ovens are being used now, the pizza still remains thin crust, crisp and loaded with veggies

5. Grilled Cajun chicken:

That was cajun styled chicken served with veggies, dip, cajun fries and cucumber salad. Indeed the best quality chicken that was served along with one of the best fries I have ever had. The fries just went well with the dip.
